Buying property in United Arab Emirates as an American

Dubai has fast, transparent transactions in freehold areas and no local income tax on rent. Because no foreign tax is paid, there is no Foreign Tax Credit, so US federal and state tax apply in full. Service charges are high and the market is cyclical.
